Marcel studied bioinformatics at the Hanze University of Applied Science in Groningen with a specialisation in application design. He completed his graduation project at our company, where he worked on a method to visualise the microbial network in the soil. In his current position, Marcel works together with our specialists on the interpretation of DNA data from soil and water samples. An example of this is research into DNA data from soil samples from agricultural plots with the aim of comparing soil quality and disease resistance. Marcel is smart, precise and no nonsense. He understands things quickly and is a real problem solver. Working together with Marcel is not only very pleasant because he is a real team player, but also because of his dry sense of humour.

In his spare time, Marcel likes fishing, sports, gaming and he enjoys social events such going out for a drink or a day trip to a city.
