Already during her studies in Environmental Technology at the University of Wageningen, Kim became interested in everything that we can learn from nature. During a minor in Sustainable Design & Engineering at Delft University of Technology she became intrigued by the idea of Biomimicry. In 2017 Kim became Ambassador at BiomimicryNL In 2015 she started working at Waterschap (water board) Vallei en Veluwe where she contributed to the project "Greenhouse purification in De Glind", a concept that combines wastewater treatment with an attractive greenhouse. In addition, she studied the potential of Biomimicry for the water board. At our company Kim works on projects that use the power of nature for cleaner water and recycling of residue materials from wastewater. Kim is known within our team as creative and eager to learn new things, someone who likes to connect people, but does not shy away from difficult questions.
Water is also important to Kim in her spare time. She likes surfing and walking on the beach. She also performs street dance and hip hop.
